See the water ahead.
Run it smarter.

SeaVRO builds affordable onboard intelligence for small boats — camera-based hazard detection that watches for floating logs and debris, and voyage optimization that trims your fuel bill. Built and tested on British Columbia's working coast.

Why we exist

The hazards you can't see are the ones that get you

On the Pacific Northwest coast, floating logs and deadheads are a fact of life — barely awash, nearly invisible in chop or glare, and capable of ending a trip in a second. Radar doesn't see them. Charts can't show them. Today the only defense is a tired pair of eyes. Meanwhile, every hour underway burns fuel that the right speed and trim could save. Both problems have the same answer: better information at the helm.

The platform

Two layers of onboard intelligence

SeaVRO is one platform with two complementary layers — a vision system that watches the water, and an optimization system that listens to your boat.

Vision layer

DriftWatch

Camera-based detection of floating logs, deadheads, and other surface hazards. Marine-grade cameras on your arch, edge AI onboard, and clear alerts at the helm — no subscription, no cloud dependency, no six-figure sensor suite.

Optimization layer

Voyage Optimizer

Plugs into the NMEA 2000 network your boat already has and turns its data into savings — live fuel-per-mile, speed and trim guidance, and early warning of engine trouble. Listening-only by design: it advises, it never takes control.

And a third layer on the horizon: every SeaVRO boat that spots a hazard can share it. We're building toward a crowd-sourced hazard network, so one skipper's sighting becomes every skipper's warning.

Why SeaVRO

Built by boaters, for the boats the industry forgot

Collision-avoidance AI exists today — at superyacht prices. SeaVRO is designed from the keel up for real working boats: sport fishers, cruisers, water taxis, and small commercial vessels.

Affordable on purpose

Off-the-shelf marine cameras and efficient edge AI instead of exotic sensors. A system priced for the boats that actually hit logs — not just the ones with a paid captain.

Trained where it matters

We're collecting a first-of-its-kind dataset of real floating hazards, filmed from real vessels in BC coastal conditions — glare, chop, rain, and all. Our models learn from the water you actually run.

Advisory by design

SeaVRO systems listen and advise — they never steer, throttle, or override the skipper. Simple to trust, simple to insure, and they work alongside the chartplotter you already own.

Where we are

On the water now

SeaVRO is in active development, with camera rigs collecting real-world hazard footage on the BC coast this season and Voyage Optimizer running on our test vessels. Follow along, or get in early.

Collect

The 2026 season is our dataset season — cameras recording thousands of real encounters with logs, debris, kelp, and wildlife from vessel height.

Detect

Winter brings the watcher: efficient edge AI that spots hazards in real time and raises alerts at the helm, on hardware that sips power.

Connect

Then the network — SeaVRO boats sharing confirmed hazards so the whole fleet sees what any one boat has seen.
